Artist's Description
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II often called the A-10 Warthog Tank Killer flying along the coast of Ocean City, Maryland. One of the key features of this single seat fixed wing jet attack plane is the center mounted 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon which is a Gatling type gun with seven barrels. It can fire @3900 rounds per minute (65-70 rounds per second)and devastates it's opponents. The rounds it fires are depleted uranium armor piercing shells which are specifically used with the destruction of tanks in mind. This is one of the most powerful autocannons to be used on an aircraft. The A-10 can also be equipped with Air-to-Surface Missiles, Air-to-Air Missiles, Hydra Rocket Pods, Laser Guided Bombs and ECM Pods. Different set-ups would be found depending on the desired mission.

First and foremost I am a Father of 2 beautiful girls. Originally I'm from Baltimore, Maryland, spending my childhood in South Baltimore (about 5 blocks from the Inner Harbor) and in 2010, I moved to Ocean View, Delaware along the Indian River Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Typically I photograph those things that capture my eye. With a portfolio including wildlife, architecture, people, places, statues, flowers, insects, sunsets, clouds, sky scenes, planes, boats, cars, motorcycles and more you will find a wide array of subjects.
